Fitness and your ability to ride a mountain bike all day is key to your enjoyment and ability to complete the ride. You need to be a cycling enthusiast with above average fitness. The riding is amazing and very much mountain biking – particularly on the Frenchmans and Telegraph Tracks with their crystal clear creek crossings and flowing trails.
Your bike needs to be of a cross country / marathon nature and fitted with tubeless tyres (compulsory). It needs to be serviced beforehand.
The ride will comprise 64 to 126 km per day, camping, relaxing, dedicated cooks and a support vehicle to carry your gear and flying back to Cairns from Horn Island.
Allowing 9 days, we will leave Cairns by bus on the Saturday to start riding when we hit the dirt North of Laura. While the adventure is all about the riding, we’ll plan breaks at all of the best attractions on the Cape, from swimming holes, to waterfalls, historical monuments and areas of cultural significance. Every day we include additional “X factor” experiences that only us locals can offer. We’ll even share our secret Barramundi Fishing spots ( if you choose to get up early enough😁). To finish in style well celebrate by staying in luxury accommodation on Thursday Island for the final night.
$3950 All inclusive (incl GST)

What to bring
You’ll need to bring your own bike, riding and camping gear including tent, sleeping bag and mattress. We’ll transport this for you but it all needs to fit into a standard domestic airline bag for the flight home (ie No Swags). We’ll provide everything else required for 9 days in the bush.
